The Harvard Law Review has elected Gillian Grossman ’14 as its 127th president. Grossman succeeds Conor Tochilin ’13.

“We are extremely fortunate to have Gillian as our next leader,” said Tochilin. “She has deeply impressed all of us with her brilliant work on the Review, and she is the rare editor who combines formidable scholarly talent with great personal warmth. I know she will make a wonderful president, and I am excited to see her lead the Review over the coming year.”

Grossman, a Connecticut native, graduated from Harvard College in 2010 with an A.B. in Social Studies. Before attending Harvard Law School, she worked for a microfinance company in Mumbai, India.

“Conor has demonstrated exceptional leadership with his tremendous intellect, natural graciousness, and deep commitment to the Review,” Grossman said. “His extraordinary work ethic and sincere enthusiasm for the law have been an inspiration for all of us. It is an honor to follow in his footsteps, and I look forward to working with an outstanding group of editors committed to furthering excellence in legal scholarship.”

The Law Review, founded in 1887 by future Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis LL.B. 1887, is an entirely student-edited journal with the largest circulation of any law journal in the world. It is published monthly from November through June.
