The Social Science Research Network recently announced the distribution of a new e-journal on Bankruptcy, Financial Distress, & Reorganization provided by Corporate Governance Network (CGN).

CGN is an online community interested in the expanding area of corporate governance research. CGN is directed by members of the Corporate Governance Program and Lucian Bebchuk, the William J. Friedman and Alicia Townsend Friedman Professor of Law at Harvard Law School.

This journal provides abstracts and links for papers addressing dissolutions, bankruptcy reorganizations, financial distress, workouts outside insolvency, and similar topics.  The Bankruptcy, Financial Distress, & Reorganization e-journal brings together contributions from accounting, economics, finance, law, management, sociology and psychology, collecting abstracts on these topics in order to provide readers with full exposure to all new papers related to its subject matter placed on The Social Science Research Network.  Subscribers to the journal receive regular e-mails containing between five and six abstracts with links to the electronic papers.

Papers distributed in the last several weeks encompassed a wide variety of topics, from bankrupt firms, the role of derivatives in the financial crisis, to labor negotiations with firms in financial distress.  For more on the CGN’s latest journal, click here.
