Harvard Law School Professor William Alford ’77 recently appeared on the radio program ‘The Takeaway’ to discuss the future of U.S.-China relations, specifically with regard to trade and Chinese intellectual property law, which Alford describes as “a work in progress.”

Alford is the Henry L. Stimson Professor of Law, vice dean for the Graduate Program and International Legal Studies, and director of East Asian Legal Studies at HLS. A noted expert on Chinese law and legal history, his most recent publication (co-edited with William Kirby, Kenneth Winston) is “Prospects for the Professions in China” (Routledge 2010).

Since 2004, Alford has served as Chair of the Harvard Law School Project on Disability.
