On Thursday, June 16, HLS Professor Hal Scott testified before the US House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services in a hearing entitled “Financial Regulatory Reform: The International Context.” (An archived webcast of the hearing is available on the Committee’s website.)
Scott is the Nomura Professor of International Financial Systems and director of the Program on International Financial Systems at Harvard Law School. Damon A. Silvers ‘96, associate general counsel, American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, also testified.
Scott’s most recent publications include “International Finance: Transactions, Policy and Regulation” (17th ed. Foundation Press 2010) and “The Global Financial Crisis” (Foundation Press 2009).
